Our Therapist Team

As a practice what we have in common is that we are all “people people” who relish the opportunity to get to know and assist our clients. We also share our dedication to the same objective - to positively impact on the lives of the people we treat.

It’s important to click with your therapist. Your first session is a chance to decide if I am the right ‘fit’ for you.

Counselling is not about judging or telling you what to do. It's a place for you to be seen and heard.

I am a psychodynamically trained and BACP-registered psychotherapist and counsellor, working with adult patients. I believe psychotherapy is a useful way to speak about aspects of your life you may never have talked about before, in a non-judgmental, confidential and trusted setting, and to come to understand why certain situations, emotions or relationships with others might be troubling you. Together we can start to understand patterns of behaviour and begin to work with early experiences that may be affecting your adult life.

I have experience working with people from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds. I am particularly interested in people who are experiencing difficulties within the cultures they were born into or feel different from those around them.

I believe that psychotherapy can help anyone searching for meaning and understanding in their life. There is nothing that cannot be spoken about within therapy. Working together, we can develop a better sense of who you are and a clearer understanding of current and  past relationships, which, in turn, will help you to make more informed decisions in the future.

When you’re feeling down the world can seem an inhospitable place. With luck the gloominess is short-lived and passes naturally but if it persists you may need some help to get back on track. The experience of talking honestly and uninhibitedly to a professional who is listening empathetically, without judgement or pre-conceived ideas about you, is one which cannot be underestimated in terms of its potential therapeutic impact. Time and again I have seen this happen and marvel at the simplicity of the process. For some the unburdening can be cathartic (a problem aired is a problem shared) while for others it’s the blossoming of the therapeutic relationship which can make the difference to their lives.

I want to make a difference to your life – to help you to better understand yourself , the way you think, feel and behave and the way you relate to others. That self-understanding is the key to unlocking new ways of thinking and behaving that can positively impact both on your relationship with yourself and with the significant others in your life.

The most vital component to achieve this change is the quality of the relationship between you and your therapist and that’s why it’s so important to find the right therapist for you, someone you trust, feel safe with, and who inspires you with the confidence to talk.

Life can sometimes feel challenging or even overwhelming at times, which can leave you with feelings of anxiety, isolation and even shame - these can also be experienced as perhaps a feeling of emptiness and disconnectedness, or simply deep emotional suffering.

It may not be possible to talk to family and friends, or it might feel too difficult.

Psychotherapy provides an opportunity to explore and gain awareness of the way we relate and respond to the people around us, as well as the narratives we create about our lives. By working in a supportive and understanding way we can begin to identify the patterns that lead to feelings of deep unhappiness and despair.

I am a BACP registered counsellor/psychotherapist with experience working with a wide range of issues including anxiety, low self-esteem, issues from childhood, challenges with relationships, and bereavement and depression. I offer a non-judgemental, compassionate context, where any thoughts and feelings can be brought into the room and safely explored together.

It’s important to click with your therapist, which is why I view our first session as a chance for you to experience working with me and decide if I am the right ‘fit’ for you. There is no obligation and, even if I'm not the right person to help you at this time, I might be able to point you in a helpful direction or perhaps recommend another member of our team.

I am a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) registered psychodynamic psychotherapist/counsellor working out of my North West London counselling rooms in both Kentish Town (NW5) and Highgate (N6).

Counselling offers a secure, confidential, and non-judgmental space for you to express your feelings and thoughts, no matter how dark or painful they may feel. It's a place for you to be seen and heard. The relationship between therapist and patient is key to a successful outcome and it is through this unique relationship that a true shift can be made.

My role is to walk beside you through this process and help you better understand why you sometimes feel, think, or behave the way you do. With this knowledge in hand, you can begin to make positive changes in your life.

I work with adult patients, whose issues include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, gender identity issues, addiction, sexual dysfunction, bereavement and grief, eating disorders and Covid related anxiety.

I can work with you on either a long-term, ongoing basis or we can agree to a short-term contract. This can be discussed during an initial assessment of your needs and requirements. I am happy to work both face to face and online via Zoom, or a mix of both if you prefer.

I look forward to hearing from you to discuss the ideal way forwards that suits you.

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist who has experience of working both long and short-term with patients suffering from depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues and eating disorders, as well as those experiencing a bereavement or other significant loss.

I like to encourage a friendly, collaborative working relationship, allowing a space which feels calm and safe to explore difficult, painful feelings while at the same time challenging patients’ less helpful thoughts and behavioural patterns which often block the changes they might be seeking to make.

As a psychodynamic therapist my approach is particularly informed by how our past relationships and emotional development affects our present lives.
